Members of  MPH Track Club you will learn the fundamentals and disciplines of what it takes to compete as a premier athlete.  You will develop the skills necessary to compete on a regional and national level.

MPHTC  has close connections with college and university recruiters all over the US. 

Below are key skills you will develop:

  • Speed Training

    -Establish good rhythm and timing, become more efficient and explosive

     

    -The secret to the ‘positive first step’

     

    -Discover when and how to use the two most common forms of  stretching

     

    -Practice 6 drills for developing quicker acceleration

     

    -Why speed is critical in all ground based sports

     

    -Exactly why mechanics must be mastered before graduating to challenging speed drills

     

    -Learn the ‘secret weapon’ to faster running

     

    -Secrets of going from stand still to max speed as

    fast as possible

     

  • Strength and Endurance

    Increased Metabolic Rate - Strength training increases the body's metabolic rate, causing the body to burn more calories throughout the day.  

     Increasing and Restoring Bone Density - Inactivity and aging can lead to a decrease in bone density and brittleness. Studies have clearly proven that consistent strength training can increase bone density and prevent Osteoporosis.

     

     

    Increased Lean Muscle Mass and Muscle Strength, and Endurance - Everyone can benefit from being stronger. We can work harder, we can play more, we can workout longer, and we can be more alive.

     

    Injury Prevention
    - A wide variety of sports-related or life-related injuries can be
    prevented by strengthening muscles and joints.

     

     

    Improved Balance, Flexibility, Mobility and Stability - Stronger and more resilient muscles improves our balance, which means more comfortable living & fewer   falls or accidents. 
     
    Aids Rehabilitation and Recovery - One of the best ways to heal many types of injuries is to strengthen muscles surrounding the injured area. The stronger your muscles, the quicker the healing process.

     

    Enhanced Performance in Sports or Exercise - No matter what your favorite sport or physical activity, with the proper strength training program, your performance can unquestionably be improved, and in some cases dramatically so.
     
    Feeling Better and Looking Better  
    There is nothing more satisfying than the feeling after a good solid work-out. Stronger muscles and joints can have a dramatic impact on posture and leaner toned muscles tend to make everyone feel better about their appearance. This all leads to improved self-esteem and increased self-confidence.
  • G.P.A. Maintenance & Home work assistance

    Structure

    Having a specific time set aside just for homework helps set an example that will eventually help teens better structure their own time. MPH Homework Club is well organized, well staffed, models good study skills, and has the resources your student needs to be successful.

    Time

    Many kids are unable to structure their own study time at home. In addition, other family and personal obligations may make it difficult for parents to help kids develop time management skills. MPH Homework Club devotes a set time each day for this important task. This relieves students from the pressure of having to find small pockets of time to get their work done.

    Attention

    Some kids may lack skills needed to complete work independently. They may require redirection or encouragement to get tasks done. Some teens may enjoy the positive reinforcement they get from adults. While the ultimate goal is for kids to complete work on their own, having an adult presence can be a huge motivator while kids are working towards this competency.

    Space

    In some homes, students may not have suitable study spaces. Perhaps there is too much noise or too many disruptions. Perhaps the physical space that is available is not adequate for completing assignments. By providing kids with study spaces that include appropriate furnishings, lighting, supplies, and noise control, you give them the tools to focus on their work without unnecessary distractions.

    MPH Homework Club provides a set structure, time, plenty of attention and the necessary space to help you student with their homework and/or school work  in our homework sessions.
